We
have just bought a boat from Holland with a Bolinder Marine Diesel
1054BR (46BHP) engine. The hull of the boat was built in 1916 and
the boat was set afloat in 1930 so the engine dates somewhere in
between,
couldn't say the exact year. The engine was dismantled over 20 years
ago and so has less than 5000 hours on the clock.
We
got our boatyard guys in Holland to put it back together and get it
working, and they fixed a couple of things, like the fuel pump. The
engine has been taken out of our boat (too big for our needs) and is
now for sale. It comes with original propeller manual and gearbox
and is indeed a very rare find. She is located in the Bristol/Bath
area if you wanted to come and have a look.
